We look for the best multi tool, and we have designed Gerber 30-000469 dime multi-tool for that purposes. The Dime is a bit longer due to the external bottle opener. The bottle opener was a selling point for the dime. The Gerber dime is about 1/3 the price for what you can purchase it without an expensive budget.
The biggest issues with the Gerber Dime that we find the pliers back spring break easily with little pressure because the metal used is too soft. They can be accessed simply but need two hands to open.
In addition to stainless steel pliers, a fine edge blade, wire cutters, flathead screwdriver, spring-loaded scissors, crosshead driver, tweezers and file, the Dime comprises a unique blade designed to securely cut and groove plastic packaging and a bottle opener that is exposed even when the tool is closed. Gerber tools are compact and lightweight, and, obviously, the Dime is the most valuable change you’ll find in your pocket.
The Dimes flathead is a bit finer, so possibly a tad more versatile than Leatherman multi tool. Gerber multi tool delivers inner round pliers along with its 2.24 ounces product. It provides a flat head screwdriver that you can narrow it and use Gerber, dime micro tool as a crosshead driver.

Our Remarks
In spite of having some drawbacks, the dime is an amazingly well-executed mini multi-tool with a high-quality blade. The shape quality is very nice, and any disapproval expressed by pointing out faults about the tool’s capabilities are actually more a function of the inherent limitations of any multi-tool this size. You can use this Gerber multi tool on the basis of our Gerber Dime Review for quick adjustments on things, being able to pop or pry something open and around the data center replacing parts in servers/computers.
Gerber dime tool includes spring-loaded pliers which are commendably well aligned and come together very precisely. Its price is certainly worth it. If you need something more robust, you’re looking at something to fit on your belt or take up more pocket space, so there’s our Gerber Dime Review.
